Our Lineage

Soulseat was founded by Reiki Masters Thomas Clark and Maureen Yetton, who are both proud to have had knowledge and experience passed down directly from the founder of Reiki, Mikao Usui. According to legend in 1922 Usui received the gift of Reiki during a 21 day fasting at the holy Mount Kurama near Kyoto.

He founded the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai and initiated various students into Reiki Masters, most of them came from the Japanese Armed Forces, among them his successor Dr. Chujiro Hayashi.
